Blue and Yellow Blooms That Beat the Rest of the Garden to the Party
This duet pairs golden-yellow Allium moly with sky-blue Allium caeruleum for a blue-and-yellow show that opens in late spring, before most garden perennials get going. Both are compact at 12 to 18 inches tall, so they slot easily into borders, rock gardens, along walkways, or into patio containers.
Alliums are the low-maintenance workhorses of the bulb world. They pull in bees and other pollinators while their onion-family scent helps keep deer, rabbits, and other nibbling pests moving along, and they handle heavy clay soil that stops other bulbs cold.
Why You'll Love the Swedish Flag Allium Duet
Early color: Blooms late spring to early summer, filling the gap before summer perennials arrive.
Two colors, one planting: Bright yellow and true blue flower heads in the same bed.
Pest deterrent, pollinator magnet: Bees love them, browsing critters don't.
Clay-soil tolerant: Performs well in dense soil where fussier bulbs struggle.
Returns every year: Reliably comes back when foliage is left to die back naturally.
100 bulbs per pack: Enough to drift through borders or fill several containers.
Plant them once in fall and let this cheerful duo greet you every spring.
