Glossy evergreen leaves all year, then a wave of soft rosy-pink blooms when most of the garden has already gone quiet for fall.
The Autumn Spirit Camellia (Camellia x 'Autumn Spirit') is a fall-flowering camellia prized for its luminous semi-double blooms in clear rose-pink, each opening against thick, dark, lacquered foliage that holds its color through every season. Unlike spring camellias, this hybrid times its show for autumn, bringing fresh, romantic color to the landscape exactly when summer flowers fade. It settles into a rounded, upright form of roughly 5 to 6 feet, making it equally at home as a refined specimen, a flowering evergreen hedge, or a foundation anchor near a shaded entry or patio.
Why growers choose the Autumn Spirit Camellia
Fall bloom season. Rosy-pink, semi-double flowers arrive in autumn, extending color long after most shrubs have finished for the year.
Year-round evergreen structure. Dense, glossy dark-green foliage gives the garden a polished, finished look in every month, including winter.
Dependable hardiness. Reliable outdoors in USDA zones 6 through 9, broadening where camellias can be grown into colder gardens.
Refined, manageable habit. A moderate grower reaching about 5 to 6 feet tall and wide, well-proportioned for modern landscapes and easy to keep in scale.
Versatile in part shade. Thrives in the dappled, filtered light beneath taller trees where many flowering shrubs struggle.
Use it to soften a shaded foundation, to build a graceful evergreen privacy hedge, as a standout in a woodland or mixed border, or in a large container framing a porch or courtyard where its autumn flowers can be enjoyed up close.
